Targeted information transfer shortens and simplifies processes, especially in procurement. For this reason Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH has been controlling the ordering of pattern wheels and pattern chains for its machines using an order form.
This briefly asks for all the important details regarding the customer, the machine, the structure to be produced, and the pattern carrier necessary for this. Each order form can record the information for a maximum of four pattern wheels or pattern chains and is valid for one machine number each. If, moreover, more of these machine components are required for producing patterns, or several machines to take into account different gauges or different gear ratios, several of these form have to be filled in. In addition special machines make the specification of extra data mandatory, especially in relation to the needle setting.
It is easy and quick to fill in the lines and columns. Extensive explanations to the queries in the language of the user prevent faulty entries and ensure that a complete picture is given. This must be particularly noted with regard to fields one to five, which must be filled in. If the necessary data are not present the whole document will be sent back by the company to the customer or his representative. The forms can generally be sent by e-mail or as a printed document. They are used by subsidiaries and representatives as an appendix to the spare parts order and the printed version is included in the spare parts catalogue of the new nachines.
After being supplied with all the necesary information, Karl Mayer will supply all the requisite parts without delay and as specified in the order: there will be no time-consuming queries or clarification processes.
