In continuation you will find some useful details for your stay at our Mayer Motel and at our company.
Mayer Motel
The Karl Mayer Motel is located right next to our company in Obertshausen, only about 10 minutes walk away from the Karl Mayer factory, and about 35 km away from Frankfurt Airport. The Motel is a guest house with functional furnishings. All the rooms are equipped with shower/WC and have an internet access with wireless WLAN. For the password, please kindly contact Mrs. Hellmich or Mrs. Haak. In the recreation room (open to everybody) you will find a TV and a DVD player.
Leisure activities
As active leisure activities our Motel offers the possibility to play table tennis, table billiard and board games. Besides, in the vicinity of the Motel there is a water and fun park with sauna which can easily be reached via a forest path. Moreover, we would recommend you to visit the following towns: Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Aschaffenburg as well as the nearby medieval town of Seligenstadt am Main.

For coming from Frankfurt Airport to Obertshausen, we recommend you to take a taxi or the S-Bahn (interurban train) from the airport to Frankfurt main station (HBF-Frankfurt), then change to S-Bahn, Line S-1 direction: Rödermark, Oberroden.
Motel Service
During weekdays (except on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) we offer our guests a buffet breakfast from 6.00 to 8.00 a.m. Besides, they can have their lunch in our works canteen, but there is no meal service for dinner. Nevertheless, the Motel kitchen offers our guests cooking facilities for self-catering from 8.00 to 21.30 o'clock. Moreover, our Motel guests can use the washing machine and the drier during their stay.
Shopping possibilities
The nearby shopping centre HIT, Schönbornstrasse (footpath through the forest), offers a wide range of foodstuff and non-food articles. Opening times: during weekdays from Monday to Saturday: 8.00 to 20.00 o'clock, but closed on Sundays and public holidays. Besides, you can buy Asian specialities in the supermarket in Offenbach, Luisenstrasse (easy to reach by S-Bahn, Line S1, direction Wiesbaden, exit: Marktplatz). Further shopping possibilities for garments, non-food and souvenir articles can be found in Frankfurt und in Offenbach (the latter being famous for its leather products).
Restaurants in Obertshausen
Obertshausen and the neighbouring towns, villages, etc. offer a lot of international restaurants, pubs, etc. In the Motel you can find a list of these restaurants, with description and route map.

Arrival and departure times
Our Mayer Motel doesn't have any reception. As a matter of fact, all the applications (arrivals) of our guests are notified by Karl Mayer's respective Departments. For participating in the training courses of our Karl Mayer Academy, our guests should arrive and depart during the weekends, i.e. Saturday/Sunday up to 6 p.m. at the latest, Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. In case of delays in your flight and/or in your arrival, you are urgently requested to inform the respective contact persons (see below) in due time, thus, acting in your own interest.

Means of payment
Unfortunately, in our Mayer Motel we cannot accept any credit cards as means of payment. Payment of invoices can only be made in cash (Euro) or against invoicing (billing).
If you need medical aid
Please turn to Mrs. Hellmich, Mrs. Haak or to your trainer at the Karl Mayer Academy with complete confidence.
If you are not member of the EU, it is indispensable for you to conclude a health insurance valid during your stay abroad.
Time of training courses at the Karl Mayer Academy
Apart from Friday, the training courses are held every day from 8 to 12 o'clock and from 13 to 16 o'clock. On Friday in the morning: from 8 to 12 o'clock.
Safety shoes
For reasons of accident prevention, we have to draw your attention to the fact that it is imperative to wear safety shoes during practical works on machines. Unfortunately, such safety shoes cannot be made available to you by the Karl Mayer company.
Clothing
We recommend our guests, especially those coming from Asia, to bring along with them appropriate garments according to the time of the year.
