have optimized their concept out of long-time, successful training courses. The KARL MAYER Academy Germany offers the complete training program with all the basic and advanced courses for warp knitting and special applications, Multibar Raschel machines, curtain and lace machines as well as for double Raschel machines. The basic courses (WKB) and advanced courses (WKS) for tricot machines have already become part of the standard training courses with Karl Mayer Academy China, and for 2009, we have scheduled a gradual extension of all the block courses according to German standard. The offered courses are completed by our training in fabric analysis.

With the opening of the new production plant KARL MAYER CHINA Ltd., a further Karl Mayer Academy has been set up. All the courses are assisted by experienced trainers arriving from Germany. New training rooms, modern learning equipment, selected pattern collections and state-of-the-art training machines have been made availabe by Karl Mayer. The well-balanced block courses with their theoretical and practical elements guarantee that, during the training course, each participant will be able to put into practice what he has learnt beforehand and may always refer to the trainers' sound knowledge.

The basic and advanced courses are offered in course blocks with a duration varying from one to four weeks. The courses in the KARL MAYER Academy Germany are hold in English (German on request) whereas those in KARL MAYER Academy China are hold in Chinese. The courses put special emphasis on textile technology, fabric information, machine operation, fault detection and analysis, as well as practical training on state-of-the-art technology.

The courses are arranged as below and cover the following main topics:

- Introduction into the principles of warp knitting (WKB)
- Advanced course for Warp knitting machines (WKS)
- Advanced course for Multibar-Raschel machines (WKM)
- Advanced course for Double-needle bar Raschel machines (WKD)
- Fabric analysis (WKA-S, WKA-M, WKA-D)
- KAMCOS^®Technology training courses
- Training courses on warping machines, preparation of warp knitting and weaving

The courses for fabric analysis and warp knitting machines as well as those for Multibar-Raschel machines and double-needle bar Raschel machines have been revised and emphasize now the specific patterning possibilities of the respective Karl Mayer machine types.

The contents of the training courses for the KAMCOS^® technology we have offered so far and the KARL MAYER - ProCad warpknit for the development of lappings and for archiving all the data referring to the patterns are now part of the above-mentioned course offers such as WKB, WKS, WKM and WKD.

We also run a special training programme for our customers out of the warp preparation for warp knitting and weaving:

Each participant can select his own training programme from the topics covered in the various courses, on the basis of his existing knowledge and targets. Different blocks of courses can also be combined increasing the flexibility and intensity of the training. The combination of the temporal succession of the course blocks is due to the respective training level of the participant. The course contents are based on the standard of knowledge of the participants. Only after a participation in a basic course (WKB) and/or on the basis of the particpants' experience in warp knitting he may attend an advanced course such as WKS, WKM, WKD and WKA. The course directors have many years of teaching experience in modern knowledge transfer, and dispose of in-depth, technical skills and technical knowhow.
